It’s the year 2113. A major museum is running an exhibition on life and culture as it was in 2013. You’re asked to write an introduction for the show’s brochure. What will it say?
I can’t say that I know the life and culture of any other place other than my own country, which is why my version of the introduction is going to be based on life in Singapore. :) I figure that Singapore in the future will be more stressful and more expensive to live in. Singaporeans are wired in such a way that we will never let ourselves become losers. We strive to be No.1 in everything, even though we are just a tiny red dot on the map. So in year 2113, hundred years later, one generation would have lived and passed. I guess nothing would have changed much, but people would be so stressed out that they would visit the museum to relax, where they can learn to slow down and take a breather, then start racing again.
“Do you know what people did for entertainment in 2013?

Well, I attempted to make a satire out of it. It was hard, because Singapore is already a very stressful place to live in now (2013), to imagine that it will become worse in the future (2113) and to make light of today’s situation is really something I don’t know whether to cry or laugh about.
I certainly hope that life will not be this hard a hundred years later in Singapore, but I doubt it.
(P.S. This is my first daily prompt, so I shall not beat myself up for not doing a good job. As time goes by, my imagination will probably get better? Haha that’s why I started this blog in the first place. Would anyone read, I don’t know.)
