Daily Prompt: A to Z | Seeking the kindness in your heart.

Create a short story, piece of memoir, or epic poem that is 26 sentences long, in which the first sentence begins with “A” and each sentence thereafter begins with the next letter of the alphabet.

This is by far the hardest Daily Prompt. But it doesn’t hurt to give it a try, this is what this blog is for – learning and experiencing writing in other ways than my usual. No matter if it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, at least I tried…

Amazing how mother nature can be

Brilliant for everyone to see

Copiously she provides

Deserving of love she is denied

Earth is but a place we do not own

Fact is, we are guests in what we call home

Gleefully we ravage

HALT! Why are we destroying our land?

It takes courage to speak out

Just to raise awareness on our evil deeds

Know that what goes around

Later comes around

Mankind is but a passing infestation

Narcissism is our fashion

Obvious to some

Perplexing to those who cannot fathom

Quietly, ask yourself

Really, is this what I want?

Search for the kindness in your heart

Take a stroll in the park

Ultimately, you will see

Valuable treasures and beauty

Worthy but wilting

X’mas is just round the corner

You shall celebrate and

Zillion problems will await.

Thanks for reading the first ever poem I’ve written in my life. I’m not a poems person and know nothing of how they should flow and rhyme. I hope I’ve not made a fool of myself.

Signing off,
